The Renovation of the Forest

A light gap in the forest is created when one or more trees fall down, thanks to this phenomenon the forest can renovate itself. The light gap permits the germination of little plants that need more light to sprout. A tree can fall because the roots feeble when the ground ´s humidity increases in the rainy season. In other cases the trees are too old and they have fulfilled their life cycle.
