The Caducity

One of the main characteristics of the Tropical Dry Forest is that most of its plants lose their leaves during the dry season; they do this to survive the unfavorable conditions. This phenomenon is known as caducity. Some species like the Poró-poró (Cochlospermum vitifolium) take advantage of this to show more clearly his colorful flowers and to attract his pollinators.
